A week nearer to my finals and I am as unfocused as ever. Probably because of the upcoming Bali trip after finals. I'm really looking forward to it because firstly, I was cooped up at home for three months/summer holidays as I needed to recuperate due to eye surgery and secondly, I've never been to freaking Bali! ☺️ Then again, I should not hold too high of an expection because it might lead to disappointments sigh and God forbid that'd happen. 😰

On a side note, I tried prawning for the first time at Pasir Ris Farmway. I managed to catch a prawn! $28 for 2.5 hours for a prawn. That's quite a catch lol. I guess I'm really not cut out for activities that require utmost patience. However, I do want to try fishing though. 

Afterward we had dinner at Sakura buffet. I enjoyed barbequeing the meat though I must admit that the food generally didn't suit my tastebuds. However, the ambience and the company made up for it so it was not all too bad of an experience. (: 

Zah's 21st!

Started out the day working at JP's Cbtl because the weekend slots at NTU are usually filled up. It was nice coming back to my previous working place and catching up with the old as well as the new crew. I must say things have changed but I kept an open mind about it. As much as I miss the place, it holds too many memories that are better kept at bay. 

Later at night, my friends and I celebrated our dear Zahirah's birthday at Westgate's Pizza Hut. First time patronising the outlet and it was pretty warm at first. Probably because our seats were near to the entrance and the outlet was in the non-airconditioned part of Westgate. 

I feel quite out of touch with a lot of people lately so it was nice that I finally could catch up with a few members of our clique tho it's not all 9 of us. 

Anyway, 6-8 page report due tmr and I'm struggling to write it out. On a sidenote, first official Perbayu meeting with my adhoc members starts tmr evening. And I am still grippling with the reality that I am in it.

My little sisters and I attended our ex-college's Performing Arts Concert in the evening. Watching the Malay dance performance brought back haunting memories of the gruelling Malay dance back in 2012. Afterwhich I told myself not to take it up ever again because I simply lack coordination and flexibilty. ): Nonetheless, it was still a good experience as I badly wanted to relive my memories as a Malay dancer when I first took it up back in Primary 2. 

Much Misses

I finally took the time to look at the pictures that my friend uploaded when Avaris went for our first jalan raya back in 2013. For some reason, I was starting to miss them. Admittedly, I am not close to each and everyone of them but well, they are still the first group of friends that I made in uni. But of course, I believe all of us have our respective clique of friends by now so obviously, the only time I get to see them is when I incidentally bump into them in the canteens or hallways. Now that my freshmen year is drawing to a close, I sometimes wonder if I've become a better person - more intellectual, more approachable, more hardworking... or whether I've become worse altogether. My friends seem to note a change in me in the two semesters though. I would assume it's the change in hair length or the darker eye circles, I don't know.
